Turquoise

The history of turquoise reaches back into the mists of time and across the world. One of the first gems to be mined, turquoise has been fashioned into gorgeous jewelry for over 5000 years by civilizations from ancient Egypt to Imperial China to the Aztecs. The popularity of turquoise is not surprising given the beautiful sky blue color. Although ancient, it is also very contemporary and is used as a birthstone for December and the anniversary stone of the 11th year.
